Khadija Zizi began creating her bold, dynamic artwork in 2000, when she took a painting class and never stopped. Since then, she has refined and explored both her craft and themes: travel, motherhood, and the balance found between harmony and discord.
Her contemporary abstract expressionist work expresses emotion through dynamic shape and color, inviting the viewer to resolve conflict through visual experience.
Zizi’s paintings are a striking meditation on the material aspects of form, color and texture as well as a literal and metaphorical journey through culture and archetype.
