Kayla Dwyer is a junior at Ithaca College, a liberal arts school in central New York, studying and practicing journalism. She writes and edits for The Ithacan, the college’s Pacemaker award–winning newspaper, with a concentration on news and features up to this point in her career.
She also conducts an all-female a cappella group at the college, culminating a lifetime of passion for music and vocal performance.
In Morocco, she is studying journalism through the School for International Training, working with professionals from Round Earth Media to produce relevant news content and human interest feature stories. What gets her talking — and writing — are issues pertaining to education and public health, among many others that directly affect people and the way we live.
