From July to December 2014, I will be in Hyderabad teaching digital storytelling to high school and middle school students as a fellow at The Modern Story. We’ll go through what a story means, how to tell stories using digital multimedia skills, and the end goal is that students will create their own in-depth projects on any topic, from politics to women’s rights to religion. Though six months isn’t long, I hope to at least plant a seed in students’ creative brains so they know they have a voice and their community is worth documenting for the rest of the world to see.
